Park Computers is now based at The Park Centre

This social enterprise business recycles old computers and computer peripherals by cannibalising, rebuilding and distributing computers to the general public at great value prices.

Project Manager of The Park Centre, a community Centre based in Ryde, Isle of Wight, Barry Kemp says “Many of our users were asking for advice on where they could purchase good quality, second hand computers at a reasonable price. We had already been receiving some donations of used computer parts from the community, and, realising that there was this need to be filled, Park Computers was created.”

Barry continues, “We looked into funding for a vehicle to help facilitate the new social enterprise, and were lucky to be awarded grant funding from Awards for All. After a call to Harwoods in Wootton, we now have a brand new van which has helped us get on the road to make Park Computers a great social enterprise.”
